The suffering of a righteous man

義人受難、正義伸張

Chapter and verse: Psalms 69：1-2 章節：詩篇69：1-2

1 Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto my soul. 2I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

1神啊，求你救我!因為重水要淹沒我。2我陷在深於泥中，沒有立腳之地；我到了深水中，大水漫過我身。

說明與應用：

舊約和新約最大的不同在於第22~29節，大衛求助之餘希望上帝會消滅他的敵人，並在她們的罪上加罪，”add iniquity unto their iniquity”。耶穌對待盯他在十字架上的人，是求上帝饒恕她們的無知。同是義人受罪，在舊約是正義的抱復，新約是博愛的憐憫，相去甚遠。

經文第一節for the waters are come in unto my soul, 其中are come 也是特有的古式文法。現代英文法be之後加及物動詞(v.t.)的過去分詞表示被動；古式英文法be之後加不及物動詞(v.i.)的過去分詞表示完成式。所以KJV的這段經節在現代英文版NSRV就寫成the waters have come up to my throat(soul)。
